Hi Nadine,

Much depends on just how thick this plastic is.  However, if it is the
normal overhead transparancy film, and not some ultra heavy brand, it
should be O.K.

However, if you can obtain the type which has a thin paper backing on
it, usually designed to go through laser printers, it would be best.
You need some kind of paper to fool the paper out sensor, otherwise the
sensor, which is a light sensor, sees straight through the clear film,
and thinks there is no paper in the printer.
