Hi Dennis, If you have an Index Everest V4 you can enable the raised letter mode by preceding your text with an Escape character followed by ASCII 129 (ü). This is a legacy mode from earlier models and I dont think it is documented in the current manual. Any text sent to the embosser after this sequence will be embossed as raised letters. You can terminate this mode, and return to braille, by repeating the sequence. It is possible to embed this code in DBT as a job header but there would be little point if you want plain text. The attached file, (if the system lets it through), will allow you to just substitute the text you want to emboss. If not, or if you want any more info please contact me off list, Regards, Nigel Herring Pentronics Master Distributor of Index Braille Products Sales, Service & Support of Adaptive Technologies for the Blind & Vision Impaired 27 Birkdale Circuit PO Box 965 GLENMORE PARK PENRITH NSW 2745 NSW 2751 Tel. +61 2 47357355 Email. service@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Web. www.pentronics.com.au _____ From: duxuser-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:duxuser-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Neal Sent: Wednesday, 21 January 2015 1:47 AM To: duxuser@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [duxuser] Re: Printingrelieftext with DBT Sorry I am late to this show. One easy way to have tactile embossed letters along with or without braille from a braille embosser is via the free QUICK TAC program. You can also save Quick Tac files and insert them as a graphic into DBT WIN files. When you print an help-document the embosser is printing the same kind of text I want to create by myself, so the embosser has the possibility to do it. However, first you would need to enlarge the print text, and then print on to something called swell paper. That then needs to be passed through a special machine which would raise the inked parts such that you could then feel the shape of the letters. Did you have a special purpose in mind? Sorry I'm not so clear but I don't know how to say it in English. Is Relief the right word?
