Is it true that 11.3 eliminated all English-language braille codes other than
UEB? That would be unhelpful since some individuals still prefer the older
codes (using COM contraction for example). Can't users at least have the option
to choose?

Maybe it is happening because 11.3 is programmed for the UEB code now which
does not utilize the contraction for COM.
