Despite what David says ...

I had the same problem at a work site with a Romeo, and had the same problem at
home recently with my Thomas embosser and DBT 10.6. All people told me was to
make sure my embosser was accepting escape characters, which it was. 23.1 on
the menu.

. I didn't know at the time how to fix the Romeo with the extra characters
being embossed at the top of pages after a form reset, but I did figure it out
with my Thomas. I'm sure the same thing will work for the Romeo.

Go to the Global menu, Embosser setup, and select your embosser. Choose the
modify buttton. Go to the Device settings tab. The first item is Allow Escape
Codes. I changed this to not checked and I now get clean first pages every
time.

All my document formatting is done with DBT, and it hasn't affected anything
except to fix the problem of garbage characters. Hope that helps.
