Tina,
What template did you use when you opened the file in DBT? I'm guessing you
didn't use the corresponding DBT BANA template. Make sure you select
"English (American Textbook DE) - BANA."
The actual DBT style names will be different than those used in Word because
of some DBT naming conventions that were in place at the time the template
was originally developed. There is a table with the corresponding style
names at the end of DBTs help info. Help > Help Topics > Working With Word >
Word Template (BANA Braille 2010). This is assuming you are using DBT 11.1.

I formatted a document with the Bana template and when I saved and converted
it to DBT none of the styles stayed. What did I do wrong?
