Aloha Jo,
I do everything the same as Nicky, but I set the top margin to 1 and
no bottom margin. If I set the bottom to 1, I seem to get only 24
lines per page. As for freezing, I have not had that experience, yet.
Been using the Index Basic-D embossers for nearly 13 years, and only
use the narrow width paper. By selecting the b setting, it should
load the narrow template and it will stay that way until you change
it manually.

your caracters per line to 32, lines per page to 25, top margin and

your printer freezes, but it occasionally happens width my basic D
as well, and the only advice I have is to put it off for a few seconds.
