You have been so kind to help me and now for a new quandry. Juliet Classic lost the first 5 cells of each line this week in addition to all the blank cells on page 2.

I have borrowed a VersaPoint Duo from my state consultant. The manual is difficult for me to understand and I have tried. Here are the steps I have taken.

I have chosen parallel port (Juliet was on seriel port)
No software was recieved or manual recieved
I printed the manual from Freedom Scientific's site but it is dated 2002 and I was told the embosser was dated around 1993, so manual may not work
I think I was able to get default settings on the embosser keypad (the tones played two or three times before it would accept codes)
Set up the embosser in global at
Wide width 12 inch long paper
Characters per line 40
Lines per page 30
Top margin 0
Binding margin started with 3 and went to 0 because there was no change when I embossed a test

Embossed a page and it started in the middle of the page and was not what I had asked it to braille.

My question to all those out there that use this kind of embosser is do I need to set up all the perameters that are found in the appendix like the manual tells me?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I almost hate trying to things when so many things need to get embossed, it might be easier to do it all by hand.
