Subject: [duxuser] Microsoft Word, SimBraille and DBT

  Hello All,

I am puzzled and need some help please!
I am working in Microsoft Word 2003 and my files contain quite an amount of
text written in SimBraille.

Once I prepare my file I then open it in DBT 10.6 SR4 and translate it
accordingly.

Until about a week ago all files translated beautifully, no problems with the
DXB file.

However, I now notice that the files prepared in the last few days do not
always translate correctly.

It seems that I can have any amount of SimBraille in a file and all will be
well. However, if in Word I edit the SimBraille - that is: add, or delete even
one character within the SimBraille passage, the file will then not translate
correctly into braille.

I find then that when I look at my DBT DXB file the characters following the
next hard return (the hard return coming after the edit), are not being treated
as SimBraille when translating from DXP to the DXB file. Instead, The open
quote which was entered in SimBraille as an 8 appears in my DXB file as the
figure 8 with the numeral and the h. Commas in the SimBraille show as dot 2,
rather than the intended dot 6.

The only thing that I have changed in the last week is to update my print to
braille translation file of enuncp.btb

If anyone can help it will be very very much appreciated.
