Hi George and Duxuser listers,

The Hmong people are Asian but not Chinese. For some background on the Hmong, including some information about the written language and the story of how some Hmong came to America, see:

http://www.jefflindsay.com/Hmong_tragedy.html

From the information given there, it appears that the currently accepted Hmong writing system uses the Roman alphabet. Based upon that, I would suggest using the English tables but with grade 1 in effect, which should yield braille that is as readable as the print. (Although some details would differ, such as the capitals indicator, the same would be true for uncontracted French or Spanish.) I am unaware of any "official" Hmong braille code, but would be happy to hear about, and consider implementing, such a code if there is one.
