Seeing your question concerning math I just jumped at the opportunity to ask you about division. Our student has come home with horizontal division problems using Nemeth. Is this standard procedure? I thought division was written vertically using either dots 4,6 & 3,4 or 1,3,5. Helen

Subject: [duxuser] Nemeth

A student is doing direct-entry Nemeth code brailling on his personal
Pacmate (w/o refreshable braille display). He wants to upload it to
Duxbury so he can get a braille copy to review and a copy for us (Virginia Department for Blind and Vision Impaired) to transcribe
to print.

However, even standard braille characters are not correctly being
displayed in Duxbury when he hot syncs (although most are read correctly with
JAWS, they are displayed in bizarre ways--the "ch" in his name is displayed as
dots 2-5-6 and JAWS reads it as "star").

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Fran
