Hi Matthew, John and all,
It may come as a surprise to learn that in the same way that, "Not all men are
created equal", much the same applies where the likes of "LaTeX" is concerned.
This is a lesson I've seen for myself.
MathType is well known and respected world-wide, and indeed at one time was
used in Word, until Microsoft decided they could do better.
Just ask any web developer their view on Word's HTML is another example.
I rest my case.

Hi John,
Office 2019 woes aside, my limited understanding is that MathType is just a
front end to LaTeX. On that basis I would assume that Duxbury will convert a
LaTeX document just as well, if not better, than a MathType document.

Dear List,
Through work I have been offered Office 2019 at a knock down price (Home
Licence) and out of curiosity I went to the MS Site to see what is new. They
now include LaTeX coding for Maths/Scientific Notation - will this be as good
as Math Type for converting to Braille in Duxbury?
