Cindy, Anothe thought:
If you are editing the dxp file, you don't have to take out the extra spaces. They will go away when you control t to translate.
Recently Cindy Handel wrote:

I scanned a knitting pattern, for a sweater. It didn't scan well, so I had
help to get the pattern in generally the right format...I mean the pattern
is all there, in the right order. But, there are some changes I'd like to
make to it, so it will Braille in the way I'm used to reading patterns.

I'm currently going through and adding parenthesis in areas where they're
needed, and making sure there aren't extra spaces where they're not needed.
But, the thing I'd like to have happen is, when a line of print text is
going to go to two or more Braille lines, it would be nice if the second or
third line, (in Braille) would be indented; to more easily find the
beginning of that instructional line. Is there a way to do this?
