The Duxbury class was 12 weeks with reading material, videos and a chat
session once a week. Lessons were emailed to the instructor. Lesson
preparation time dependend on the material and how quickly I understood the
content. I spent from just an hour to several hours a week to ensure that
the material was prepared correctly. I must admit that the math lesson and
I had more than a challenge to complete. The hours spent have already been
well worth it but don't ask me for any math advice. <grin>

I took the Carroll Center Duxbury online class. It was a lot of work but well worth the time. Before the class, I had major gaps in my Duxbury knowledge. This class filled in the gaps and gave me a better understanding of what codes and styles can do to make braille editing easier. The material covered involved all aspects of Duxbury and it was extremely well presented for users of access technology. It was obvious that the staff presenter put in a lot of time to insure accuracy of material and gave opportunities at every level to receive feedback.
