Hi, I am trying to find an easy way to produce partially contracted braille,
using the British Capitals Template in Duxbury 10.7.
The specific contractions required are all the alphabetical wordsigns, and
the special six wordsigns, ‘and’, ‘with’, ‘of’, ‘for’, ‘the’ and ‘a’.
Fingerprint unit 4 matches up with all the alphabetical wordsigns but not
the special six wordsigns.
I have tried using find and replace, which does exactly that, unfortunately,
it replaces the ‘the’ in these, there and their, which I need to remain in
grade 1. This also didn’t solve the problem that they can be joined to each
other.
I tried a find and replace in MSWord making the 6 wordsigns simbraille, but
then they lost the capitalization and left the joining problem.
I tried using the Standard Literary Format (American) template and selecting
selected contractions NLS I.M.B.T Lesson 4.3 which matches the required
translation, only it also translate ‘these’, ‘there’, ‘their’ using the
‘the’ wordsign.
It also gave me tremendous print reference page numbering problems.
I would like to be able to make a template in Duxbury or a template/macro in
MSWord so that braille using these wordsigns could be quickly and correctly
produced by someone without braille knowledge.
Is there anyway I can get the British Capitals template to translate with
the NLS I.M.B.T Lesson 4.3 table? I think I would then be a step or two
nearer.
Many thanks, Keren
