I've never heard of Perky Duck. What is it, and what does it do?

I've downloaded Perky Duck onto my Mac Powerbook G4, and can open and
use the program. Only problem is that what I see on my screen are
letters, not braille.

I've found the instructions to check my keyboard for n-key rollover by
keying all 6 characters: slkfjd and they do all show up at once.

So what do I need to do?
