OOPS! Sorry, Anne. Looks like I forgot to put an Alt Tab
on the screen shot. My bad.

However, if you call up the Global, View Preferences dialog,
the first field is labelled "Margin Bell Position:" Enter a
value in the field - in your case, a zero.

George.

Subject: [duxuser] Question about margin bell

I went on a search to find out how to set the margin bell.
This is what I found in the Help menu.

"Margin bell position: This feature is ONLY available when
using 6 key entry with a braille file. This feature is much
the same as the bell on a Perkins
brailler, and indeed you will hear an actual Perkins bell
sound though your computer's sound card. (Assuming you have
one)

In the illustration above, the sound will be emitted when
you reach the 5th last cell on the line. To turn the
feature off, enter"

As a JAWS user, I have no reference for the illustration
above mentioned. Can someone tell me how to set the margin
bell?a position of zero.
