Ann,

The Find/Replace still works in 10.5. I use it all the time. Having
said that, I'm wondering if you're trying to replace styles instead of
codes. Anything surrounded by less-than and greater-than signs is a
style. For example, <para.> and </para.> In the days before 10.5,
these would have been [es~para.] and [ee~para.].

If you're trying to replace a style, you can do it one of two ways:
1. Open the Search/Replace dialog and press Control-Shift-comma. This
will place your cursor between a less-than and greater-than sign, and
you can type in the style exactly as it appears.
2. In the Find/Replace dialog, type in the style name (such as "para."
(without the quotes, of course), and check the box that says "Replace
Style Name." This technique will replace both the beginning and ending
style codes, so it's preferable to the first technique.
