Hi Keith,

Windows XP does all manner of weird things, and may indeed have created
specific folders in the "Documents and Settings" Folder for different
users.

Do a search for Folders called "STARTUP".  One of these will be a
sub-folder of either WORD or OFFICE, which in turn may be located under
a Username folder within "Documents and Settings".

It can get a shade hairy as you may find quite a few STARTUP folders,
and will have to track them carefully.
