Caroline, There is a workaround for this, albeit rather inelegant, and only in the brl file. Translate the document (ctrl t), highlight the area(s) of double caps, do a search and replace dot 6 dot 6 with either a single dot 6 (good for headings) or leave the replace field blank for no caps. When DBT asks you if you want to search the rest of the doc. say no. Watch out for acronyms, you may have to "replace" them back individually. With sentences maybe search for "period space" and replace with "period space dot 6"? (I haven't tried this). I've run into this several times and thought it might be a good feature to add into DBT. Many times partially sighted people will send documents in all capital letters because they say that it's easier to read. This may be true for print, but to me at least, it's an absolute pain in braille, both on paper or on a refreshable display. I know that Word has a feature that allows you to change the case of parts of a document. However, I'm wondering, what would the chances be of incorporating something like this into DBT? It could be one of those time-saving features that would mean less time trying to fix up a Word document before importing it. Thanks.
