So in our best of all worlds wish book we should maybe ask for
a code that
will put both the beginning and ending computer codes and the continuation
sign as well???

Hi Christine,

Compdisplay will put in the continuation signs (last two cells of the line,
regardless of word boundaries, punctuation etc).

But Compdisplay doesn't give you the opening & closing computer braille
indicators.

So, to get opening & closing signs & the continuation signs, you need to
apply both Compdisplay and Compinline.

Note too that they work differently. Compdisplay applies to whatever block
the cursor is in. Compinline applies only to text that is highlighted.

I can never keep these two straight without testing them (which I did, but
still ...).
