Do you have an embosser? do you have the number of lines per page, and
characters per line, set? If so, reset them to those that obtain in the
.brf file. (Set them to the values in the .brf, anyway.) (Example:
your embosser settings might be set at 26 lines per page; 40 characgters
per line: your .brf might have been embossed with 25 lines per page; 38
characters per line. Something like the above is the fix.) Not using
10.5.

Subject: [duxuser] Using DBT with *BRF files

Hi, folks.
I use DBT to read .BRF files from BOOKSHARE.ORG.
Many times, when I open such a file, I get an error saying either "width
error" or "depth error" or both. I have the formatted braille importer
set to "read without interpretation". I also use a PowerBraille rather
than speech to read these files.
Is there any fix that will get rid of these errors? I don't want to have
to manually edit the file if I can avoid it, since these are huge files.
Thanks for any help in advance.
Steve Britt
