Hi again Deb,
One of the biggest issues we face when training is teaching people how
to use Word properly. In fact, around 50% of the content of our Basic
DBT training course is spent on the subject of Word.
I would venture to suggest that literally Billions of Dollars are wasted
every day because typists have not been properly trained in using their
Word Processor.
I'd also suggest that it's not the typist who is to blame either, but
their managers for not proving the oportunity, or even manuals of any
kind, for training.
An extreme case, but I have actually seen myself on more than one
occasion, typists who spend 3 or 4 days, with the help of another
person, manually numbering a Table of Contents, something Word can do
automatically in seconds.
When this kind of thing happens, the only way to improve matters is to
lead from the front, and show how it should be done.
(Perhaps that's why I've lost most of my hair!! - Smile!)
