Hi Tonia,
The Juliet 120 is essentially an Index Basic-D with an Enabling Technologies
badge.
You have an odd situation in North America since Humanware now own Enabling
Technologies, and are also exclusive distributors for Index Embossers.
Personally I would suggest getting samples of the braille output from any
embossers you are considering.
Duxbury can certainly work with any of the embossers you mention.

Subject: [duxuser] What are your Thoughts on the Juliet 120 versus the Tiger
I recently requested recommendations for a new embosser for our voc rehab
agency's central office. I did so during convention week though; so many of
you may have not seen my message. I appreciate those of you who emailed me
off list with your suggestions. That was a huge help. Now I'd like feedback
from anyone with experience using the Juliet 120 or the Tiger embossers.
We don't have much of a need to emboss graphics and we're for the most part
just brailling fairly simple and small documents. I've personally been using
a Juliet Pro-60 for the past 15 years and I absolutely love it! I'm curious as
to how the 120 compares to the Pro-60? I don't have any firsthand experience
with the Tiger or really any other embossers except the old Braille Express and
the Teal few decades ago. LOL! The only complain I've heard about the Tiger
is the feel of the dots. Although that seems to be a theme with many of the
newer embossers. Also, I know the Tiger has built-in translation software. Do
you still have the option to use Duxbury if you prefer though? The person who
will be the primary user of this new embosser is a braille reader, has low
vision, is a long time Duxbury user and not much of a techie. So I'm just
trying to consider all the factors and explore all of the options before making
a recommendation to the agency.
