Hi Jan, Sorry. I should have been less cryptic. Let me try and explain. In Windows, you can have hundred and hundreds of fonts installed. However, windows is (or thinks it is) clever, and so within an application will only display the fonts available for use with a specific printer. If you do NOT have a printer installed, or perhaps just have a Generic/Text Only one installed, you will find that your choice of fonts is very limited. However, in your case here, it's difficult to say what might have gone wrong, btn hopefully reinstalling DBT will have cured it. I was importing a word doc. Instead of letters on the screen I got boxes because the only fonts I have in Dux are webdings and bookshelf2. These are picture fonts. I have all my other fonts in word. Any thoughts on where the fonts went? Defaults will be c:\duxbury for programs, and c:\dbtdocs for data files. Change those if you need to to match your existing set up. I imported a word document two weeks ago coded and translated the file fine. Last night I imported a Word document and all I saw was square boxes. When I go to global and fonts the only fonts I see are bookshelf 2 and webdings????? Which are all those boxes and symbol fonts. What happened? Where did my fonts go. Thinking that I needed to reinstall I reinstalled my version 10.3 then downloaded the upgrade. I have a zip file of the upgrade on my desktop and don't know what to do with it from there. Where do I unzip it to? I have my password so that is not a problem. Hope someone on the list has an answer for me. Thanks.
