George:
I contacted a friend of mine at Duxbury, and he said to go to the top of the
document/spreadsheet; go to coded view, and remove the information that says
“htb etc. from the very beginning of the text. I tried this and it works. And
for a braille document such as a menu, all you have to do is put the
information in whatever order you wish. Just an Fyi.
Thanks for the assistance.

No. If you wish to make a Word file out of an Excel file, you will have to look
up Microsoft’s Help.
When I referred to the “kind of table”, I was referring to the braille format
of tables. With narrow columns, they may fit across the page for example, but
if wider, you have a choice of stairstep for example, where each row’s
individual data goes on to a new line, but each new line is indented by two
cells. When a new row is encountered, it reverts back to the left margin again.

Thanks once again for the reply. When you refer to “what kind of table you
want”, is there one for a straight information document i.e. a word converter?
I do not have any such spreadsheets open at this time, so I cannot attempt your
instructions. Thanks again.

Jerry:
You won’t break anything if you try 😊
In fact it opens what is essentially a Table, and you can then select Table:
Properties and choose what format of Table you want to try.
Tables do need careful study as they can vary a great deal.
George.

Thanks for the reply. So when I open an excel spreadsheet in dbt, how will it
show up i.e. will it still have the information in cellular formats? Thanks
again.

Yes. In 12.4 sr1, if you select Open in DBT, and select all file types, and
then your Excel file, you will find Excel 2007 listed in the Filter section of
the next screen.

Afternoon all.
Using DBT 12.4, I know that there is an importer for word documents. Is there
one for excel spreadsheets? Thanks in advance.
