Hi Elizabeth,
Hopefully, Milton's tip about the Alt + F3 will have sorted your problem. It's
what is called a "Toggle" command, so the same command works to turn it on, an
then again to turn it off.
If all else fails, look at DBT's "View" menu, Alt + v where there are a variety
of choices. The shortcut keys are also noted there.

Subject: [duxuser] in coded view
dear friends,
I typed a short file in DBT 12.1 and read it fine. i checked pre ueb.
i translated it to grade two braille.
i worked on several other word files while these dbt documents were open.
somewhere along the line, i got my dbt documents in "coded view"
and cannot read them.
this happened suddenly when i left one of my word files and went back to
duxbury.
i am using windows ten, on a lenovo laptop, jaws 18.
please help me get out of coded view.
i tried redoing my documents by opening new print dbt files, and still,
my docs are in coded view. i wonder if the situation would revert back
to normal once i shut down and reboot. i haven't tried it, for, i fear,
i would still be in coded view.
i cannot read these documents.
thanks,
elizabeth
