Hi Ann,
The [<] code forces a line break unconditionally, while [l] causes a line
break only if necessary. This means, for example, that if you had the code
sequence [sk1][l] you would still skip only one line. If, on the other
hand, you coded [sk1][<] you would end up with an additional blank line.
