Hi
I can't seem to be able to get the superscript sign to be represented
correctly in my translated file. I've tried using a q code caret and
a q code tilde which are both dots 4-5. The caret comes out as
something like a less-than sign and the tilde puts a numbersign in
after itself which wasn't there before.

I've also tried the directly over superscript code but can't seem to
be able to get the superscript sign to come out. Do I put the [os]
and [oe] codes around the whole expression or whatever it's called? I
have technical context on for the whole chapter, and each calculation
is surrounded by technical notation codes.

Here is a sample of what I have to transcribe. This only crops up a
couple of times in the chapter. The original file says:

Very large or very small numbers are often expressed in scientific
notation as a power of 10. For example, the number 4000 is equal to
4x1000, which may be written as 4x10 to the power of 3.
This number could be entered into a calculation by pressing: 4^3, that
is, 4 followed by SHIFT 6, followed by 3.
