Hi Maria, > Could you tell me how to set, as default, changes we want to make to the position of the reference page numbering. At the moment ours is set for "bottom right" for odd and even pages. We wish to change it to "upper left". It works while we are in that file, but when we close out of that file it resets itself to "bottom right". You need to create a new Template, and use that in future. Open a new document in DBT. Make any changes to change page numbering position. (Optional: If you wish to save this file for future use, you might want to type in a short explanatory note, e.g. "Modified Ref Page Numbering to suit us") Go to the Document Menu and Select "Create Template". If you wish to use this as your default template, remember that the Template List is Alphabetical, hence you may wish to ensure that the name ends up at the top of the list, e.g. "Australian Standard.dxp" or "Australian Text Book.dxp". Once you have typed in the name, click on O.K. You might now want to save the open file for future use. Suggest you name it with the word "Template" in front of the name you gave above. If you need to make changes in future, open your master "Template ......." file, and make changes required. Go through the same process as above, and give it the exact same name again. DBT will warn you that you are overwriting the existing file, so just accept the warning and carry on. Hope this helps, George. ________________________________ From: Maria Elford [mailto:mariaelf@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 14 August 2003 06:40 To: George Bell Hi George, Could you tell me how to set, as default, changes we want to make to the position of the reference page numbering.
