George.

When I translated the file you sent, I did not see, in the Braille
document, the fts~b and the fte~b codes present and ready to emboss.I
know this is a weird need, but I'm going training and I want to
remember
where all the codes are in the document so I can talk about them to
the
class.

Hi Ann,

If I understand you right, you want the actual DBT Codes to appear in
the braille.

Does the attached make any sense to you?

George.

The q code did not cause the bold codes to show in the translated
document.

Ann,

You can use the [q] code like this:
[q~[fts~b]]
where the code parameter (everything to the right of the tilde)
consists
of the characters you want brailled. The example above will force the
characters [fts~b] to appear in your braille document. As far as I
know, there is no other way to get this to happen, but maybe someone
else on this list knows differently.

Steve
