Hi Deb,

Look in the Help files under Codes, Styles & Templates: Codes: Page
Numbering, where you will see two topics beginning "Set Number &
Prefix on ...".

George.

I need to put a page number but put a p in front of it. The book has
been prepared using literary format. I know you can use the tilde and
p somehow to put the page number p1 or whatever but can't remember
exactly how to do it.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Again, we're using literary format, not textbook.

Deb B.

Diane's suggestion about using a start page number of above what you
really have, worked. All the page numbers in the compiled doc
disappeared.
