Hi Ramona
If I have a long filename, the banner page can take up more than one
braille page because the filename is embossed in print letters. I
need to use long filenames and wondered if dbt would allow me to edit
what went on the banner page i.e tell dbt what I want the banner page
to say. If not, then I'll have to save the file twice, once with the
name I want to give it, and again with a shorter name which will fit
on one braille page if I use the banner. I don't want to have to do
this though as it could get quite confusing. I need to use long names
for my files so that it'sabsolutely clear what they are. I have
several documents for different models of braillenote or voicenote,
and each of those has different translations e.g. uk braille, us
braille etc. I include this information in the file name so I know
what it is and can fine the file I want to emboss quiclly I don't want
to have to go rename the file each time I want to emboss it with the
banner page, then have to go rename it back to what it was when I'm
finished.
If it is not possible to edit what goes on the banner page, then I
would like to put this on the wishlist for a future release!
Teri

Hi Teri,
Can you please explain to me what the banner page is. You said it
puts the
file name plus date and time but when you said that yours sometimes
run to
two pages, I imagined this would have to be an enormously long file
name as
date and time don't take up more than two lines.
Is this info placed low on the page, or well spaced or is there other
info
as well?
These are my guesses as to why two pages could come into play.
Thanks
Ramona
