[duxuser] why is this happening?

When I work in Dux occasionally it will "flash" (for lack of better word) and I
lose anything near the cursor be it a letter or a whole word.
The other thing that is happening is when I translate to braille this funky
bubble appears and then twirls off into one of the corners, usually the top
left. Is this a new animated feature? (just kidding).
But can anyone describe the ghosts that are living in my system?
