EU Regulation number 540/2014 makes Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS)
functionality mandatory on new electric (EV) and hybrid vehicles being sold
from July 1st 2019 and requires it to be installed into all other electric
and hybrid vehicles for July 1st 2021.
This short documentary called âA Quiet Revolutionâ highlights the impact of
Electric Vehicles on pedestrians and cyclists including the visually
impaired.
