Then the only thing I can suggest is why not uninstall the app and
reinstall it and see if that fixes it.
A strange one certtainly.
Good luck,
Tony

Paul,
When in the BBC Sounds app and you find that Cymru station just flick your
finger up or down to change station to your preferred default one.
HTH,
Thanks for minutes always,
Tony.

Acold and frosty day in south west Dublin, but only 2 weeks left for Winter.
Paul has a question on using the MYGOVID, SITE
He opens this site, enters his E_ mail address, and then tabs to the
next box, where he must enter his password.
After this, a verification code is sent to his smart phone, and he
must enter this code.
But where does he enter this code?
Cearbhall says just type on your desktop the code, and hopefully this
is the correct edit field.
If this does not work, then after you get the code on your phone,
press the letter E to bring you to the correct edit field.
If this does not work, Eamon suggested using the Jaws key ( INSERT
KEY) +
F5 TO bring up the various links, and arrow down until you hear edit
field, and press here, and hopefully this is the correct field.
.
Great help was given here to Paul, from Eamonn,
Michael, ANDCearbhall.
Martin told us of a great new podcast , called Blind Guy Talks Tech,
by Steve Scott formerly of the R.N.I.B.
Should be well worth listening to, and one should subscribe. To get
these podcasts.
Paul had a question on those emojes , he seems to have problem in
getting the right one in quick time to add to a reply.
Stuart, says that there is a more button with your favourite ones for
a quick response.
Annette is thinking of trying to improve her typing skills, using
all the correct fingers, and getting more speed.
Paul said that he uses all his fingers and has a good speed, thanks to
some nifty cassette tapes.
He got them from the ncbi, a number of years ago, about 12 years ago
and playing them on his recorder, they gave instructions on typing a
myriad of words , using the correct fingers. ,
Perhaps Annette could contact the ncbi, to see if they have some help
on sound to help her to achieve her goals.
There was a programme a number of years called Mavis Beakon , which
was a great tutorial on typing correctly and at a good speed, but it
was only suitable for sighted people.
Declan says that the next time a student contacts the vip list to see
if there is anything they could do , to improve accessability for
using smart phone and laptops, .
One could suggest that they could invent a programme using sound to
help vip's to learn to type properly using all fingers and at a good speed.
Eamonn wanted to know if there was any tutorial or podcasts on using
the Amazon Fire Tablet.
The fire tablet has voice view, as a help for visually impaired people.
Declan said that this link could help Eamonn.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201829330
Eamonn had a problem earlier with another Zoom meeting.
He found himself in the American Zoom, and had moved from his spot
where he was getting on fine, and found he could not get back to where
he was originally.
Cearbhall said he must use the back to front Z gesture where when used
correctly moves you back to where you were.
John told us of the new range of smart phones, which will have no sim cards.
It seems that they are on the way in the not too distant future.
Bob has not got the message yet for this weeks meetings, and
wonders how he can get them quicker.
Cearbhall suggested using control +letter M, TO push them through quicker.
Paul using BBC SOUND, has radio Cyrmu as his default station, and
although
He loves Welsh people , he speaks no Welsh.
He does not have a problem in changing this and listening to radio 4
or 5 live.
But when he does this , it reverts to radio cymru, the next time.
That's all folks
Paul
