Hi,
The Apple "Follow-up" procedure featured in this morning's discussion. I had
not heard of this before but I found the following link on Apple Insiders
that explains it well:

As the article points out, this is a built-in, automatic feature of IOS 16.1
that cannot be turned off by the user. Apple interprets your email text to
see if you have left a question that needs an answer or some other expression
that looks for a response from the person you are emailing. If you get no
response after a few days, Apple places your original email at the top of
your inbox to remind you that you were looking for a response and to prompt
you to seek that response. There is no setting in IOS to turn this off, it
seems!
