I had purchased an iPad 4 just before Christmas but only had it about 2 days
when I returned it to the store, my reason being that I found it too heavy!
People looked at me as though I was mad! Obviously from what you put below
Dominique I was not! I have to admit I went on to purchase the iPad Mini in
late February and in March the iPod Touch 5th Generation. I love both of them.

Subject: [fb-exchange] Apple's iPad 5 'to be 25% lighter and 15% thinner'

The next generation iPad will be lighter and thinner than the iPad 4, according
to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
Apple's iPad 5 is said to be both 25% lighter and 15% thinner than its
predecessor due to a number of tweaks.

Kuo, who has a strong track record in revealing Apple's future product plans,
said in a note that one of the key reasons the iPad 3 and 4 didn't meet sales
expectations was because they were heavier and thicker than the iPad 2.

He said: "We think the tablet will, at 7.5-8.0mm, be 15% thinner than iPad 4.

"The new device will likely be about 500 grams, or some 25% lighter than iPad
4, run on an A7X processor, and sport cameras with similar specs to the iPad
4's (front HD, rear 5MP).

"The casing shape and colour (silver and black) and narrow bezel design will be
similar to the iPad minis."

He then expanded upon why consumers can expect a thinner and lighter iPad.

"We therefore think that iPad 5's battery capacity will be 25-30% smaller, at
8,500-9,000mAh, than iPad 4's, and the battery's thickness will be 15-20%
smaller, at 7.5-8.0mm, and the number of cells will be reduced to two from
three," he explained.

Kuo predicted last month that the 'low-cost' iPhone will have a 4-inch screen.

Apple's fifth generation iPad is expected to be released towards the end of
September.
