Hi folks,
during the winter Olympics, some BBC radio services may not be available on
smart speakers. As many of you are interested in sport, the following link may
be of use when looking for BBC5 live. These instructions are for a desktop or
laptop only.
Type the following URL, and be sure and save it in your favourites.
Tab until you hear something like "OpenG Web RX button," and press The
spacebar or the enter key.
After three or four seconds you should hear noise. You are now in the frequency
field which is selected. Type 909 and wait a few seconds. With a bit of luck,
you should be now listening to BBC5 live.
The procedure is much more complicated using a smart phone.
You have now taken control of someone's radio in the UK! It is one of a network
of about 600 such radios available throughout the world.
