Hi,
We had a query about changing the default program for opening web links and
html files when they are attached to an email.
Windows 10 now defaults to using Microsoft edge for this. If you would
rather use Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome or some other program for this
purpose here's how to do it:
1. Press the Windows search button and look for "Default App Settings".
(When I began typing the word "default" the system volunteered the full
title after only typing the first three characters!)
Press 2Enter" to open the Default app Settings window.
2. The first option is "Email." Press this to choose Outlook or
whatever mail server you want. It defaults to windows mail.
3. Tab on down to "Web Browser". This defaults to Microsoft Edge. Press
Enter to open the selection window and tab to the browser of your choice.
Press "enter" to select it.
There are many other choices here that you can explore and change using the
same procedure in this window. Press enter on the current selection and then
tab to the program you want to use. Press enter to select it.
Warning: The "reset" button will undo your selections and restore the
original Windows defaults!
Just press alt +F4 to close the Window and your settings will be saved.
