Pat found that a registration form on the social welfare site was very
difficult to use with a screen reader. the document is an editable PDF. He
could find the places for names and other details but they did not seem to be
edit boxes that the screen reader could detect.
Paul reported a successful outcome to his search for a solution to ongoing

Clare is experiencing major difficulties with Spotify on the iPhone making it
user unfriendly.
On making attempts to find one's own hot spot in a crowded setting like a
hospital, Pat recommended selecting "ignore this network" for each item.in
the WIFI list in settings in order to clear the decks and leave only the Hot
Spot visible.
Jackie had an issue with Microsoft Teams. Shewa's limited to the Professional
School user when the host was using the professional school registration.
She was likewise, limited to the personal user when the meeting was hosted
under the Personal user id of the host.
She warned that one has to be careful to be in one or the other
Martin and Stuart discussed the new indoor navigation feature of Seeing AI in
IOS. Martin will set up a vigorous tour of his home and report back to the
next meeting.
Many felt that the two year old application, Clew, was already providing
indoor navigation to a high degree of accuracy.
Smart kitchen devices from kettles to microwaves are in an early phase of
development. They are currently available in very small capacity devices as
yet. It was agreed that fitting a smart plug to the standard electric device
delivers the same smart functionality.
Dominique recommended listening to last week's NCBI podcast on smoke alarms,
heat alarms, carbon alarms, etc.
Jackie found anew service called audiobooks.com that has nothing to do with
audible inc.
The meeting ended with the challenge to see if ChatGPT could right a
meaningful account of the Cork FB-Exchange Club from the notes collected
during the morning.
GPT stands for Generative Pre-Trained Transformer, a complex neural network
based on the revolutionary Attention concept.
