Welcome aboard the Tech train join the seven happy campers as they explore

We started this morning wining about the flaws of the different AI's. Siri
was the first AI that got the lashing. Siri's responses was the first to be
critiqued and its delaying or just not responding.
Next up was Alexa and her inability to not listen at times and just stopping
playing saying things aren't available.
Google was next however, an issue Jackie had with google not speling words
has been fixed. Jackie found out how to report an issue to google. The first
thing you do is say "Hey Google or OK Google" then say "report an issue"
finally you say the name of your device IE Google home Mini and say then
the issue.
Jackie asked Martin about his blind shell phone. Martin is really happy with
this phone.
Joanne asked about using apple pay. Jackie said she has only ever used apple
pay on line. Paul said about using his card in a taxi, he said its important
to ask for a receipt so you can get the break down of the costs.
Jackie said about getting the strong customer authentication removed from her
BOI account, this caused her apparent issues on Tesco, the only way she can
get it back on is to cancel her current card and get a new one issued.
Tesco website is causing Jackie some issues, its saying she is off line and
this makes it hard to complete certain transactions. This issue has been
reported to Tesco.
We all congratulated Cearbhall on winning the Hable one keyboard. So now on
this group both Jackie and Cearbhall has won a Hable.
Cearbhall, Dominique, Paul and Jackie spoke about Windows11. Dominique did a
health check on her machine and she has been told it can't take windows11, if
she wanted this she'd need to download an add on. It was suggested by a few
people to leave well enough alone and it would be cheaper to buy a new
computer.
Jackie hates the ribbons and dominique agrees. Cearbhall explained the uses
of the ribbons but Jackie was adamant on her hatred of them.
Paul and Chris both spoke about two different apps that support is ending
for. Paul with sound scape and Chris with Sky Plus, Jackie told Chris "you'll
still be able to use the sky plus app however, if an IOS update messes it up
then it won't be fixed".
The topic of audio description came up and depending on what part of the
country you came from Kin/Ken had audio description however recording this
show the AD did not record. Jackie said she recorded the dry and this was
Irish and the AD was recorded. A conversation went around the correct
Pronunciation of words, so Martin will be taking us all on for elocution
lessons.
The meeting ended with questions on dogs laying down, cost of taxis, local
link buses and new flavours of hunky Dories. They have a new prawn cocktail
flavour.
All have a good weekend.
Lady W
