I hope all keeping well?
I am not feeling well at all. I am very badly sick from Friday afternoon.
I have good and bad news the good news is that last week I was in college
in person and it was the best expereince ever. I had meet an lot of very
nice people in my course. I had learned a lot of things that where very
helpful. The vice princople was helping to me to get from place t the
class for programming and my friend said that she was pointing where to go
so I could not stop laughing of her. It was great fun. The tutors loved
me and said that I am very hard working and done great in the college.
The bad news is that I am back to studying at home again which I am not to
happy about it as I am feedup with studying from home like how much should
I do it. The college said to me that there is someone who wants to be an
assistance but the college is waiting on some papers so I really hope that
it will be all sorted verty soon as I have an lot of assignments and on the
14th of December I have exams. Like this week I do want to rest mainly and
just do a tinny of bit of work for college but want to rest to get better.
I am able to use the visual studio code and it is working great but have
an problem to run the codde.
Also I am thinking to sign up for some disability blowing as I am not able
to to life without an sport. Like a lot of sports for the blind are on
listening which for an partly deaf person who has like half of an
percentage of hearing in the right ear and like 3% in the left ear. Like
in blowing you do not have to listen just throw the ball which I have an
lot o strength.
I hope to join you sometime but I am busy with my college work and also
with medical problems too.

nine Happy clappy individuals in attendance today.
Derry and the entire Cork Tech Club wish to Congratulate Mary Lavelle on
winning her award at the retina conference. Mary was greatly admired by
members of the cork group for her excellent work on the support groups she
was involved with.
Jackie started off the tech with an update from her weird email issue
last week. If you all remember when swiping through her emails different
text was being read out by voiceover.Bert posted an interesting piece to
the list in relation to follow up suggestions in the mail settings. If
this is on it can cause what was described by Jackie However, when she went
into mail settings this mode was already off. So Jackie just turned it on
and counted to ten and turned it off again. Once Jackie did this the
problem looks to have been fixed. Jackie will keep a close eye on this to
ensure it continues.
Jackie also told us about her ordeal with Bank Of Ireland, she sent a
snooty tweet to BOI and after a few choice words Jackie received a
complaints form.This was successfully filled out so now Jackie waits. It
took Jackie an hour to finally get through the strong customer
authentication. The experience Jackie shared started a conversation of
other companies and their lack of awareness of talking to a blind person.
Even though they have been told the eyes don't work they still ask about
the colour of the lights on the device.
Mastodon was briefly mentioned as twitter seems to be going in the wrong
direction.
Chris asked about the sleep mode on the audible app. cearbhall talked
Chris through accessing it.Sleep mode can be accessed via the mini player.
Alexa featured highly in our discussion with Dominique showing us the
sound quality of her 5th Generation Echo dot. Jackie has purchased one of
these new devices on amazon as they have been reduced in their sale witch
started on Friday November 18th.
We also spoke about the RTE Player and Company of RTE and the fact that
stuff isn't accessible but RTE appear to be working on it. So much like
Bank of Ireland we'll wait and see what happens.
Books were discussed and also the different platforms that is
used.Martin told us of one that he accesses via YouTube.
Cearbhall spoke about the art thing he was at and Martin asked me to
remind everyone about the Seen/Unseen in the Crawford Art Gallery on Friday
the 25th of November at 2.30pm
Books made a reappearance along with the Culinary yummies of our dogs
were discussed and at this point it was suggested the conversation had
entered the gutter.
Andrea Bocelli was listened to and admired some of us only found out he is
Blind. It was said that he doesn't seem to use his white cane to come out
onto the stage. We were listening to a story from our Cheif of Tech just
sadly the green lights must have stopped flashing as we lost Cearbhall.
The meeting ended with mention of the C word that should be followed with
Ba Humbug.
