Jackie started the ball rolling by telling the group about her passwords
being compromised. Key chain was also discussed.
Martin asked the group where people were purchasing their iPhone. Pat Walsh
told us he purchased his SE2020 from his local Vodaphone shop in Cork. The
group also told Martin, it was possible to buy the iPhone on line and direct
from Apple.
The old chestnut of battery health was talked about, with Dominique telling
us the battery health on her phone was at 92%. The general consensus was
that the battery was in good shape as her phone is over 12 months old.
Martin told the group about the GPS ap he uses. This ap is called Ariadni.
Another GPS ap mentioned was Loadstone, this ap is quite old. This led on
to the group talking about Micro Soft Soundscape. A lively discussion was
had about markers and beacons on Soundscape. Dominique told us how she
created audio signals for some of the markers and beacons to indicate how
near or far away from her destination.
Pat Walsh was looking for head phone recommendations. After Shocks and
bone conduction headphones were the most popular.
Dominique told us, she got a response to an email she sent to Micro Soft
regarding the male Irish Ceri voice and using it on Soundscape.
Pat Walsh was looking for assistance with reading PDF documents. The group
made various suggestions, such as checking Internet browser. Micro Soft
Edge was mentioned.
A huge thank you to Jackie for hosting this weeks Tech Club ably assisted by
Chris.
