Subject: [fb-exchange] Cork Tech Club Saturday the 4th of June.
Welcome to passport control for the nine passengers awaiting to board Cork
airways Flight165 to somewhere sunny. while passports are getting checked and
all nine passengers are awaiting to board lets talk Technology.
Today we welcome a new member onto our email list. Jackie assisted Joanne and
Cearbhall confirmed she was on it. So Joanne welcome on line to our
FBExchange family.
Dominique was very excited to enable the My NCBI skill so we talked her
through the process. There was a wee miner error so some fangs and fur
members will continue supporting Dominique to achieve her goal with the
Skill.
Ken chucked a weird one into the mix. Ken tried adding an email to an
existing contact however, when he added the email the persons name
disappeared from the messaging app. The number was there but the name was
gone. Ken just ended up adding in a separate contact for the email. This will
be further investigated by Ken and he will report back at a much later date.
Jackie brought fourth her dropping call issues. Firstly, this issue has been
plaguing Jackie for a while, when she made or received calls she would loose
connection. This was extreme yesterday, she lost connections allot. It was
confirmed it wasn't a phone issue she then rang her phone provider. When she
rang them they told her to reset network settings, Jackie had already done
this, they then suggested to see were there any carrier updates, again Jackie
had done this as Dr Google had said all this to her. Then Jasmine sent down
some settings and Jackie switched off her phone, Jasmine also said Jackie's
Sim was quite old so along with a bakery call Jackie went to the phone shop
this morning and got her new sim, she also got two ginger bread people and
two sausage rolls. Jackie will also report back on her call dropping issues
in the weeks and years to come.
The group now very animatedly talked about doing various survey's and the
rare questions that get asked. The group said survey monkey is great and they
always enjoy doing survey's while using the monkey.
Sadly Eventbrite got a wee bit of a criticism. Jackie attempted to register
for an event but when she was filling out the registration form it timed out.
Others echoed the same experience, some members said Eventbrite can be dodgy.
Jackie has invited me Lady W to share in her sausage rolls and gingerbread
person.
So the meeting ended and the Flight took off with no major delays.
