Ken explained that the FN key on the laptop running Windows 10 and 11 is

the FN key can be disable by pressing the FN key with escape. After this
action, the function keys can be activated without any other key as on a
standard desktop keyboard. Making this change does not seem to affect the use
of the main keyboard on the laptop.
Ken also warned users of the Audible app to avoid activating the link:
"delete Amazon account and all data" which is found in the settings dialog
under Profile.
This will clear out all user data and titles from Audible.
Although not strictly access tools, the choice of vacuum cleaner models is
critical to keeping the home environment up to scratch. Martha wondered if
people found any issues with the cordless versions. Basically, it was agreed
that they are more trouble than expected because the battery does not hold
the charge long enough. Various models were quoted but no strong
recommendations were made.
Martha found that JAWS was not working with Microsoft OneNote in its latest
version. Suggestions of using the free online Microsoft help with "Be my
Eyes" were not possible given that this is a work-related issue. Stuart uses
OneNote on his iPhone to maintain the list of members of FB-Exchange and
finds it to work well. There was no further experience to help Martha for now

Cearbhall recounted a disturbing experience with the language training app:
"Duolingo". He was surprised to find a warning that he would be charged a
year's subscription of €86 unless he deleted his account. Apparently, he had
explored Duolingo a year ago and forgot to delete the registration when he
decided not to proceed after the free trial period. There was no visible
"setting" button on the desktop or the iPhone versions of the app. Microsoft
help on Be My eyes came to the rescue and found the missing delete function
and completed the removal of his registration. Although notices have been
received from Duolingo recognising the deletion, the account will remain
active for another 30 days before all is finally removed.
Chris wondered how to stop the iPhone giving an elaborate choice of options
every time he goes to delete an email message on the iPhone. Ken and Stuart
worked hard to find a possible control that would stop the display of this
warning and we look forward to a positive outcome next week.
Dominique is accustomed to deleting email messages on the same screen in
which she reads the message. The delete button is no longer available since
the latest update. The deleted function is still easy to access on the
initial email app screen but this is not the same procedure that Dominique
was using.
Next, a run through Dog grooming problems and costs recipes on Alexa, world
cup football, radio presenters and favourite stations completed the
discussion.
