We started off this morning with talking Apple bugs.
Pat told us about his new cheap earphones that he got from Apple for €69.
Pat mentioned about an issue with his emails and them not correctly loading.
He had the issue with Ken's weekly Email this morning.
Jackie said she's also having the same issue with certain emails.
Then Jackie mentioned the dreded call log focus issue. She said "this bug is
seriously recking my head, I can't trust the call log any more"
Paul toldd us about his U2 free album always plays. we just suggested either
delete U2 or delete the music app. We're waiting for Bono to give us another
suggestion.
Jackie told us about her wifi issues. Eir came within 2hrs. So perhaps they
fear her and didn't want to keep her waiting. The eir engineer believes its
the modem as all is ok with the lines going into the house. So Vodafone is
sending out an engineer and modem in three to five working days.
Ken got his new laptop. He is now converted to NVDA. We all were stunned at
his news. Be My Eyes assisted him in completing the instolation. Cearbhall
and Jackie assisted him on using the various programs, like outlook and
word.The major difference is the FN key this key is required to do actions
like spell check. So instead of simply pressing F7 , he needs to press FN and
F7. Ken is very happy.
Paul was asking about copying and pasting text. The advice started from our
experts. Some of us use the rotor and text selection. Then use the roter
again to edit and copy. A few said about the three finger quadruple tap.
Paul also asked about turning off predictive text,Stuart said settings,
general and Keyboard.
Cearbhall spoke about an item of wearable tech that should help with obstacle
avoidance only time will tell if its good. There will be something posted to
the list describing it better.
Outlook has an option on resending an email. This is just handy if you need
to send the same email out on a weekly bases.
Someone has a number of apple IDs and they very nearly lost access to this
because of forgetting the password. In the end Google said about signing into
a device and they used their iPod 6th generation. All worked perfectly and
full access has been restored.
