HI Guys, heading towards the spring equinox, in March where we will
start to have more daylight, and better weather prospects.
There were 12 Participants for today's Technology meeting.
Breaking News, Dixie Mary's new guide dog treated herself to two fine
fillet steaks, and has decided that this is the house for her!!.
The steaks were lying in the pan with some olive oil on them, while
her owners were sitting down in the living room, Dixie decided to
investigate and like what she found and had a great meal.
Michael who has a new phone, signs in as Iphone user, and wanted to know
how to change this sign in to his name.
Cearbhall/Albert supplied the information.
One can change this by going to the participants list, and going to
rename, or
When opening Zoom, you can tab to join a meeting then name and
remember this name, and change it here as well.
Vera has a problem, she wants to know how much her Virgin Media bill
is at any one time. She can do this using her Ipad, and going to their
website.
But cannot do this on her smart phone. Using her phone , she opens
Safari browser, and goes to the Virgin website, and does what she does
on her Ipad, but now doing this on her phone, she gets an error 405.
This error 405 means that the client cannot connect to the their
Virgin account.
Bert/Joe/Cearbhall spend considerable time trying to resolve this problem.
Bert got her to clear the history from Safari, but doing this did
not make it accessible. Joe suggested going to settings, then Face
recognition/Passbook, but this did not do the job either.
Under instructions again from Joe, she went to passwords and deleted
her password, and she will try and set up another password.
Vera herself thinks that this problem arose at the time she was setting up
face recognition. Sometimes she wears her glasses and perhaps the
problem is with her face recognition set up for Virgin Media.
This is a work in progress, and Vera will report back on her findings
over the next few weeks.
Bert told us of his new transport for Ireland app. Go to the app
store, and locate T F ILIVE, and download.
This great app, has Dublin bus times as well as the new GO AHEAD BUSESS.
Plus the train times and Luas times, so caters for all types of transport.
Mary uses a bus stop where the bus 18 which is one of those new GO
AHEAD busses
Stops as well as where the Dublin bus number 83 stops as well.
So its very handy to have a transport app which gives the times for
both bus services.
Mary could do this before this new app, with an app called NEXT BUS.
But the new TFI app covers trains and electric trams as well.
In order to find the correct bus stop , one can use BLIND SQUARE.
Using this app, one can create a POI, place of interest, and using the
edit field can type in the number of the bus stop, or call it by another
name.
.
That's all folks,
Good luck to Ireland when playing Italy next Saturday in the six
nations rugby .
