Attached below is a message from Michiel Janssen who is developer of a new app
to assist blind and visually impaired people to safely cross the street, by
providing information about the pedestrian traffic light status with the use of
the smartphone camera.
He says: âCompared to an accessible pedestrian signal, our service doesn't
need additional infrastructure so every signalized intersection is accessible.
I'd like to learn more about the current accessibility problems in Irish cities
and towns and explore whether our service could be of benefit to them.â
Micheil proposes to schedule an online 30 min call on one of the following
dates, Ireland time:
* 01/31 between noon - 4pm
* 02/01 between noon - 4pm
* 02/03 between noon - 3pm
If any of these works, he will schedule a Google Meet.
