Declan demonstrated a nice blue tooth speaker which he had purchased on the
internet for around 15 pounds sterling. He thinks it is manufactured in
Germany.
Annette told the meeting that her iCloud storage was running low.
The first thing to do in this case is to check when the device was last
backed up. Do the following:
1. Tap Settings.
2. Tap iCloud.
3. Tap Storage.
4. Tap Manage Storage.
Select your device.
iOS will show you details about when it was last backed up, and the backup
file size.
On inspecting the iCloud storage on Annette's phone it was obvious that her
photo library was hogging all the available space of 5GB. She will copy the
library to her PC and delete the backup and start the backup process all
over again.
We then discussed clearing out history and cookies on Sefari.
1. To clear your history and cookies, go to Settings > Safari, and tap
Clear History and Website Data. ...
2To clear your cookies and keep your history, go to Settings > Safari >
Advanced > Website Data, then tap Remove All Website Data.
Eamonn spoke about StartPage. Startpage is a web search engine which
highlights privacy as its distinguishing feature. When you use a search
engine like Google, for example, your ip address is exposed to the sites you
visit as a result of your search.
With Startpage, a proxy server is used; your request is passed to Startpage
who in turn communicates with the various web pages you require and returns
the information to you while all the time cloaking your ip address from the
web pages in question thus ensuring your privacy.
