Declan Meenagh hosted a well attended gathering of the Exchange Club with 20
participants present online from all four corners of Ireland. Two
participants joined the meeting by phone.
There was a long discussion on the Zoom tele-conferencing application with a
recommendation from Cearbhall that participants should download Jonathan
Mosan's audio book which goes into depth analysis of the product.
It was felt that participants should use headsets or earphones where
possible to cut out external noise.
We discussed the SuperValu online shopping app; Michael said he found it
inaccessible and Declan said he found the same particularly using the
calendar to book a slot for delivery or "click and collect". The feeling of
the meeting was that the Tesco online app is much more usable.
Marian Brennan asked about purchasing iphone storage and storing photographs
in iCloud. The current iCloud limit is 5GB. Storage can be purchased on a
per-month basis. Some people suggested using DropBox or Google Drive.
Joe Murphy asked if any of the group were amateur radio enthusiasts; Eamonn
O'Connor said he was so he will get in touch with Joe regarding this.
Michael has a problem where a lot of messages are going into the Junk mail
folder. Declan suggested moving these to the inbox and if this is done a
number of times the system will "learn" to direct such e-mails to the
appropriate folders.
I don't have the list of participants to hand but Declan will forward them
to the list shortly.
